Tax Credits for Wittus Products The thermal efficiency of the following Wittus - Fire by Design Woodburning stoves have been determined to be greater than 75% and comply with the tax credit guidance published by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The tax credit has been extended for 2012. The tax credit is $300 for biomass-burning home heating stoves authorized by the Economic Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. International Builders Show Wittus partnered with Bodart & Gonay of Belgium to present the NEW Phenix Green series and the Optifire zero clearance fireplaces at the IBS in Las Vegas this January. Armstrong House Project Wittus – Fire by Design provided a Troja wood stove to the Armstrong House, the residence for a trained land steward. This project demonstrates how an existing, historical structure can be preserved while introducing alternative technologies to "power" an off-the-grid residence and also have expert practices of Land Conservancy.
